Here is a short little thing to keep in the back of your mind when changing paddocks. When it's cold and wet wait until it are least only cold. Because the first thing that horses tend to do when you move them to a fresh field is run around like mad. That really turns that nice green grass into mud with deep divots. And those skidding stops as your horse heads towards the fence doesn't do your heart any good either.
