Wandin Horse trials

Memories of the Candlebark mud came flooding back today in the warm up for
the dressage. I ended up riding quite conservatively due to the footing, so
the test could have been a bit more forward, and I left his head a bit
higher to help with his balance. It was raining as I was putting the studs
in, but luckily it eased for my time in the saddle.

I am not really looking forward to the showjumping as it is down the back no
on the new sand arena. As there are a few sections of riders today and
tomorrow before me, and the rain has started again, I can see it the mud
developing. Occy doesn't cope well with slippery footing through corners. So
maybe the rain will stop and the ground will dry up, but the forecast is not
looking good.

Regards

Walter
