Victorian rider Wilhelm Enzinger has hit the lead in CCI1* at the 2014 Melbourne International Horse Trials as it commenced at Werribee Park this morning. Enzinger is aboard his 'Paihia Wilhelm' and finished on a score of 74.31 per cent.
Australian Olympians and Beijing Olympic Games Silver medalists (2008) Shane Rose (aboard Purbeck Diesel) and Megan Jones (Jayay Dom Perignon) currently sit in second and third respectively on scores of 73.47 per cent and 71.95 per cent.
To add to the excitement, Enzinger is also leading the CCI2* (two-star) class aboard 'Wenlock Aquifer' with a score of 69.01 per cent four per cent clear of currently second placed rider Emily Gray and Deltry Invader, with a score of 64.94 per cent.
